Hey everyone
After years of karting across New Zealand (plus a couple of incredible trips to race in Europe), I’m finally making the move into car racing. This year, I’m building my first race car — a BMW E46 — to compete in the BMW Race Series, in the Nexen Tyre E46 Class.
Why the E46? It’s the perfect platform to learn in, but also, BMWs have always been a part of my life. My family runs SD European here in Hamilton — a business with two locations: one for European vehicle servicing and the other focused on parts and dismantling. It started with BMWs and has grown to cover all Euro brands, so having that background makes this build even more meaningful.
Right now, the car is in build mode — and I’ll be posting regular updates as we go. I’m lucky to have some amazing people and businesses backing me already. Huge thanks to:
👉 SD European
👉 AWS Graphics
👉 Central Metals
👉 Craigs Investment Partners
👉 Ward Demolition
👉 Korok
👉 PJ’s Panel & Paint
👉 Game Over
👉 C&R Developments Limited
👉 IGNITE
👉 MRX
👉 CMYK
👉 Youhost
Also, a massive thank you to Chris van der Drift for being a mentor and sharing his knowledge. Having someone like him in my corner is pretty unreal.
This is just the beginning. I’ll be sharing build progress, testing days, and eventually the first races. If you’re into motorsport, cars, or just want to support a young Kiwi giving it everything — stick around.
And if you’re a business looking to come on board and be part of this journey, I’d love to hear from you.
See you at the track.
